
Strategic Partner Manager, Content Partnerships, Family/Learning, YouTube

Strategic Partner Managers serve as our expert consultants to our customers, using research and analytics to build long-lasting relationship with our top partners. Your expertise of Google's products and our partners' businesses allow you to identify new opportunities for their growth, launch new products, and expand the impact of our clients' work. You possess strong relationship-building skills and are apt to work effectively with Google's partners, in order to best represent our users, products and programs and drive growth.
As a Strategic Partner Manager, you will build and maintain strategic relationships with family/education-related content partners, including licensing and partnership agreements, launching new relationships, driving new business opportunities, optimizing current activity, resolving business issues, and analyzing and tracking key metrics to identify trends. You are comfortable working cross-functionally with colleagues across multiple disciplines and geographies to ensure our partners are positioned for success and our users enjoy the best experience possible.
On the operations side, you will work closely with senior executives and their management teams. You will help run the business cadence (budgeting, planning, reviews), run strategic projects, and provide a proxy for the leader, communicating strategy and decision-making to the management team and other key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Support new partners through launch process and liaise with YouTube product and technical support teams. Develop and execute content partnership expansion agreements.
- Manage some day-to-day operations and partner relationships, fielding and prioritizing incoming requests, troubleshooting partner systems around reporting, rights management, Content ID and creating periodic reports (external and internal) on partner performance.
- Define, analyze and communicate partner metrics and develop account plan and strategic initiatives presentations for YouTube management and partners.
- Lead projects and short-term deep dives. Lead core team and cross-functional projects, to structure and execute analyses required to develop recommendations.
- Communicate findings from initiatives to management and the broader organization. Manage large projects and smaller projects simultaneously. Participate in early discussions to scope new projects.
Minimum qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of work experience with partner/account management or partner facing experience in TV/media or Internet.
- Business development experience making media or internet agreements.
- Analytical experience with spreadsheet analysis, public presentations, and data management.
Preferred qualifications
- MBA, MS or other advanced degree.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally and externally.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fluid and collaborative environment.
